On February 13th, 2014, with a mix of excitement and trepidation, I published my inaugural blog post, planting the seed for what would blossom into this vibrant community.
Those early days were a whirlwind. I had only been in the United States for approximately four months, navigating a completely new environment with two energetic children under the age of four. The challenges were many, from adapting to a different culture to managing the beautiful chaos of young motherhood. Yet, amidst it all, a powerful urge to create and share propelled me forward, leading to the birth of this very blog. It became an unexpected sanctuary, a creative outlet in a period of intense adjustment.
My blogging path wasn’t always a smooth, consistent one. Initially, my posts were sporadic, reflecting the demanding rhythm of my life at the time. There was a significant period when I had to step away completely, pausing content creation when I was pregnant with my youngest child. The hiatus stretched on for several months, only concluding after I welcomed my sweet little one into the world. It was in May 2015 that I truly recommitted to Precious Core. Since that pivotal moment, I have poured my heart and soul into this digital space, consistently sharing my thoughts, experiences, and passions with all of you.

This blog has evolved into much more than just a platform for sharing; it has been a profound therapeutic experience for me. As we step into another exciting year of this blogging adventure, I’ve been reflecting on how to best serve this wonderful community and optimize my creative process. With that in mind, I’m thrilled to announce a couple of thoughtful adjustments to our content schedule and format, designed to enhance your reading and viewing experience while ensuring I can continue to deliver high-quality content consistently:
- A New Direction for Mondays: The “Here’s What’s Up” weekly Monday slot has been a cherished tradition for over a year. It was a joyful space for recounting the previous week’s happenings and sharing random happy thoughts, and I truly enjoyed writing it. However, I feel it’s time to switch things up a little. Moving forward, Monday mornings will be dedicated to a more reflective, “pen-speaking” post. These will be deeper dives into specific topics, personal reflections, or perhaps more focused insights that resonate with the core mission of Precious Core. This doesn’t mean I won’t still gist you or share personal updates if something significant comes up! Those more casual life updates will still find their home in my diary entries, but they won’t necessarily dictate our Monday morning content. This change aims to bring more substantive and intentionally crafted content to start our week.
- Fridays Are for Videos: Previously, I aimed to upload new video content and publish the accompanying recipe post on Saturday mornings. While this schedule worked for a while, I’ve found it increasingly challenging to consistently meet this deadline, often leading to a rush that doesn’t serve the content or my well-being. To ensure a smoother workflow and more consistent delivery of our popular video content, I’m making a strategic shift: Fridays will now be dedicated to new video uploads. This adjustment will allow me to finalize and publish videos before the weekend, ensuring you have fresh visual content to enjoy, whether it’s a delicious new recipe or a lifestyle insight, without the last-minute scramble.
These adjustments are made with the intention of improving content quality and consistency, making Precious Core an even more engaging and reliable source of inspiration for you. I believe these changes will allow me to bring you the best of what I have to offer.
